2013 FFToolbox Expert Mock Draft #3

Draft took place July 9th, 2013

Scoring System:

Ovr Pick Franchise Selection Pos. Team Age Exp.
101 9.05 TheHuddle Dennis Pitta TE BAL 29 2
Really like Pitta this year, think he finishes as a top-5 TE. As much as I like him I really wanted to go WR or RB but nothing really caught my eye. Liked Woodhead but thought he would be there with my next pick which is why I went with Pitta. Had I known Woodhead would have gone at 9.10 he'd have been my pick here.
102 9.06 FantasyTaz Andrew Luck QB IND 25 R
103 9.07 RotoExperts - Scott DeAngelo Williams RB PIT 31 6
104 9.08 DraftSharks Pierre Thomas RB --- 30 5
I love this guy. He is New Orleans' best RB. I only hope Sean Payton finally treats him as such. If he does and Thomas stays healthy, he'll be among the most talked-about players in fantasy this year.
105 9.09 World Ranked #20 Fred Jackson RB BUF 34 6
106 9.10 FootballDiehards Danny Woodhead RB SD 30 4
Love me some Woodhead. ... In addition to providing an excellent outlet for Philip Rivers on passing downs, it's worth noting that Woodhead touched the ball over 100 times per season on average in New England and often was asked to handle short-yardage duties near the goal line despite his diminutive stature. He figures as the primary backup to Ryan Mathews, who has missed time in each of his first three NFL seasons because of injuries.
107 9.11 DynastyLeagueFootball Bryce Brown RB BUF 23 R
108 9.12 KFFL - Tim Denarius Moore WR OAK 26 1
The QB situation is putrid, but Moore can make things happen after he gets the ball in his hands. He's their best playmaker outside of Darren McFadden. As far as WR4s go, he still can rank as one of the best.
109 10.01 KFFL - Tim Johnathan Franklin RB --- 25 -1
Here's a stab pick that could redeem my backfield. He should see at least tandem work with Eddie Lacy, whom I think is a bit overrated. Franklin is shifty and could be a better fit in this up-tempo offense as a big-play weapon.
110 10.02 DynastyLeagueFootball Alshon Jeffery WR CHI 25 R
111 10.03 FootballDiehards Matthew Stafford QB DET 27 3
Despite ending up 33 yards short of becoming the first player to pass for 5,000 yards in successive seasons, and leading the league in completions, his overall efficiency ranked 22nd. He had some things working against him -- a depleted receiver corps, slumping TEs and a spotty run game. He also still gets happy feet at times and rushes throws. His accuracy decreased. His game management needs work, too. But does anybody doubt the totals will be there? And in the 10th round? I'm good with that.
112 10.04 World Ranked #20 Jared Cook TE STL 27 3
Too many talented TE's still on the board. We should have taken R.Randle as we thought we'd get him at 11.8 however missed out. That being said love the upside of cook. Coach Fisher hand picked him and paid him good money and has been known to produce solid TEs in his system (Bo Scaife was actually relevant with him!) Thinking this will be the year his production matches his potential.
113 10.05 DraftSharks Vincent Brown WR OAK 26 1
A broken ankle wiped out Brown's 2nd season. But the whole team gets a restart under the new staff of HC Mike McCoy. Brown has drawn praise and climbed the depth chart this offseason. The next Danario Alexander injury might be the only thing standing between Brown and San Diego's #1 WR spot in 2013.
114 10.06 RotoExperts - Scott Brandon Myers TE TB 29 3
115 10.07 FantasyTaz Russell Wilson QB SEA 26 R
116 10.08 TheHuddle Ryan Broyles WR DET 26 R
When your QB puts the ball in the air 700 times you have to have some upside. Broyles is a guy that I think we'll see creep up in ADP once camps get under way.
117 10.09 ProFootballFocus Greg Olsen TE CAR 30 5
118 10.10 FFToolbox Colin Kaepernick QB SF 27 1
119 10.11 Rotoexperts - Tony Michael Bush RB --- 30 5
120 10.12 FantasySharks Jermichael Finley TE --- 28 4
121 11.01 FantasySharks Eli Manning QB NYG 34 8
122 11.02 Rotoexperts - Tony Brian Hartline WR CLE 28 3
123 11.03 FFToolbox Cordarrelle Patterson WR MIN 24 -1
124 11.04 ProFootballFocus Sidney Rice WR --- 28 5
125 11.05 TheHuddle Jacquizz Rodgers RB --- 25 1
I missed on Woodhead so I didn't want to miss on Quiz. He'll get some touches in the passing game and if SJax goes down he gains some value.
126 11.06 FantasyTaz Rueben Randle WR NYG 23 R
Pick made based on My Draft Queue
127 11.07 RotoExperts - Scott Julian Edelman WR NE 28 3
128 11.08 DraftSharks Brandon Pettigrew TE DET 30 3
I don't love Pettigrew, but he catches a lot of passes for a team that forgot you're allowed to hand it off. I picked him here simply because of the 2 flex spots.
129 11.09 World Ranked #20 Mikel Leshoure RB --- 25 1
130 11.10 FootballDiehards Martellus Bennett TE CHI 28 4
Bennett broke through with a career year in New York last season, catching 55 passes for 626 yards and five touchdowns. To be fair, he also tied for the NFL's 11th-worst drop percentage (7.8). With that said, Bennett gives the Bears a legitimate threat at the position for the first time since they traded away Greg Olsen in 2011. As a so-called "complete" tight end, Bennett can be on the field no matter what type of play the Bears have called. That should translate into strong fantasy totals.
131 11.11 DynastyLeagueFootball Tony Romo QB DAL 34 9
132 11.12 KFFL - Tim Antonio Gates TE SD 34 9
133 12.01 KFFL - Tim Chris Givens WR STL 25 R
134 12.02 DynastyLeagueFootball Brian Quick WR STL 25 R
135 12.03 FootballDiehards Mohamed Sanu WR CIN 25 R
Although his rookie season ended six games early, it ended on a roll with Sanu catching the first four touchdown passes of his career in the previous three games. He also displayed plenty of versatility in his rookie season, throwing a 73-yard touchdown on his first NFL pass, running for two first downs on third down, and getting half of his 16 catches (154 yards) on third down. It's worth noting that HC Marvin Lewis said Sanu is ahead of the club's all-time leading receiver Chad Johnson after their rookie seasons. Whether he returns to a starting role or not (Marvin Jones will be in the mix), Sanu's versatility should keep him plenty busy this season.
136 12.04 World Ranked #20 Aaron Dobson WR NE 23 -1
A bit of an unknown. Patriots took him over some bigger name WRs. His big frame and great hands make him an instant red zone threat. With Welker, Hernandez gone and Gronk a question mark Dobson may have some great opportunities..especially in the redzone.
137 12.05 DraftSharks Jay Cutler QB CHI 31 6
This felt early for a backup in a draft that saw QBs slid so much, but there's no better value in the players who went behind Cutler. If he gets comfy with Marc Trestman's scheme this summer, Cutler could finish among the top 12 QBs. I'd take him as a low-end starter.
138 12.06 RotoExperts - Scott Ryan Williams RB DAL 24 1
139 12.07 FantasyTaz Darrius Heyward-Bey WR PIT 28 3
Pick made based on My Draft Queue
140 12.08 TheHuddle Ronnie Hillman RB DEN 23 R
Not super stoked about Hillman but he'll get enough touches to make him worth being my RB5.
141 12.09 ProFootballFocus Santonio Holmes WR --- 31 6
142 12.10 FFToolbox Owen Daniels TE DEN 32 6
143 12.11 Rotoexperts - Tony LaMichael James RB MIA 25 R

148 13.04 ProFootballFocus Christine Michael RB SEA 24 -1
149 13.05 TheHuddle Jordan Cameron TE MIA 26 1
SLEEPER ALERT!! Don't be surprised to see him rank inside the top-10 at TE this year.
150 13.06 FantasyTaz Joique Bell RB DET 28 2
