2013 FFToolbox Expert Mock Draft #3

Draft took place July 9th, 2013

Scoring System:

Ovr Pick Franchise Selection Pos. Team Age Exp.
151 13.07 RotoExperts - Scott Malcom Floyd WR SD 33 8
152 13.08 DraftSharks Mike Goodson RB FA 27 3
Each passing day makes the gun-and-drugs arrest look less like it will impact this season. Goodson brings game-breaking speed and caught 40 passes for the Panthers back in 2010. He also outperformed Darren McFadden in Oakland last year. He just needs touches. And the Jets need playmakers. Handcuffing him to Ivory serves as a bonus for me here.
153 13.09 World Ranked #20 Knowshon Moreno RB MIA 27 3
154 13.10 FootballDiehards Kendall Hunter RB SF 26 1
Hunter and LaMichael James are expected to battle for carries behind Frank Gore. Hunter looked great before he tore an Achilles tendon. I'm hoping he's back at full speed, but James looked good down the stretch. Fingers crossed on this one.
155 13.11 DynastyLeagueFootball Shonn Greene RB TEN 29 3
156 13.12 KFFL - Tim Philip Rivers QB SD 32 8
Pick made based on My Draft Queue
157 14.01 KFFL - Tim Brandon Bolden RB NE 24 R
158 14.02 DynastyLeagueFootball Jermaine Gresham TE CIN 26 2
159 14.03 FootballDiehards Ben Roethlisberger QB PIT 32 8
I always seem to gravitate to Big Ben as my QB2 -- if for no other reason than it's safe to assume he'll be on the field as long as he's healthy (something that's admittedly not a lock). In hindsight, wishing I would have waited and nabbed Carson Palmer later.
160 14.04 World Ranked #20 Robert Woods WR BUF 22 -1
161 14.05 DraftSharks Brandon LaFell WR NE 28 2
Sometimes you just have to take the guy at the top of your draft list. LaFell improved his receptions per game and TDs last year despite missing 2 weeks. He might have to beat out Domenik Hixon to keep a starting job, but opportunity and a good QB await.
162 14.06 RotoExperts - Scott Donald Jones WR --- 26 2
163 14.07 FantasyTaz Dustin Keller TE FA 30 4
164 14.08 TheHuddle Andre Roberts WR WAS 26 2
Arian's will have Carson Palmer throw the ball around. Not much upside but makes for solid depth.
165 14.09 ProFootballFocus Dwayne Allen TE IND 24 R
166 14.10 FFToolbox Latavius Murray RB OAK 23 -1
167 14.11 Rotoexperts - Tony Rod Streater WR OAK 26 R
168 14.12 FantasySharks Jon Baldwin WR FA 25 1
169 15.01 FantasySharks Fred Davis TE FA 28 4
170 15.02 Rotoexperts - Tony Brent Celek TE PHI 29 5
171 15.03 FFToolbox Seattle Def SEA
172 15.04 ProFootballFocus Keenan Allen WR SD 22 -1
173 15.05 TheHuddle Denard Robinson RB JAX 24 -1
Took a flyer on the Offensive Weapon.
174 15.06 FantasyTaz Stepfan Taylor RB ARI 23 -1
175 15.07 RotoExperts - Scott Tyler Eifert TE CIN 24 -1
176 15.08 DraftSharks Robert Housler TE ARI 26 1
No way would I take a 3rd TE in a typical league. But there could be weeks where Housler and Pettigrew both fill flex spots here with Graham starting. Housler has breakout-type talent, and defenses could lose him between the dynamic outside WRs.
177 15.09 World Ranked #20 Travis Kelce TE KC 25 -1
178 15.10 FootballDiehards Zach Miller TE SEA 28 5
There are a lot of "sexier" names out there, but Miller emerged as a favorite target of Russell Wilson in the postseason. He finished with 38 catches for 396 yards and three touchdowns during the regular season, Miller pulled in 12 catches for 190 yards and a touchdown in two games (eight of those catches for 142 yards against the Falcons). You could do worse than Miller as a high-upside fantasy backup.
179 15.11 DynastyLeagueFootball A.J. Jenkins WR KC 24 R
180 15.12 KFFL - Tim Tandon Doss WR JAX 25 1
181 16.01 KFFL - Tim Mike Tolbert RB CAR 29 4
182 16.02 DynastyLeagueFootball Markus Wheaton WR PIT 23 -1
Pick made based on My Draft Queue
183 16.03 FootballDiehards Stephen Hill WR FA 23 R
Hill showed a lot of promise in his first NFL game, with five catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns in the Jets' Week 1 win over the Bills, but much like the rest of the Jets' offense, Hill never looked as good for the rest of the season. This year, he has to learn the team's new West Coast scheme after struggling to learn a less complicated offense last season. But there's no doubt he's as imposing a physical specimen as you'll find on the Jets. Here's hoping the light bulb comes on.
184 16.04 World Ranked #20 Zach Ertz TE PHI 24 -1
Pick made based on My Draft Queue
185 16.05 DraftSharks Jeremy Kerley WR NYJ 25 1
Kerley caught 27 more passes than any other Jet last season, and they haven't done much to improve that area.
186 16.06 RotoExperts - Scott Josh Freeman QB FA 26 3
187 16.07 FantasyTaz Brandon Lloyd WR SF 33 9
188 16.08 TheHuddle Joe Flacco QB BAL 29 4
Flacco doesn't have to be a great QB for fantasy purposes, just serviceable. Waiting until round 16 for your 1st QB isn't and easy thing for many to do, but I've got some research that proves it's the prudent move. Once I release the article later this summer you'll see what I mean. Oh, and I should point out that I am VERY happy with Flacco as my QB1.
189 16.09 ProFootballFocus Mike Gillislee RB MIA 24 -1
190 16.10 FFToolbox Michael Vick QB NYJ 34 11
191 16.11 Rotoexperts - Tony Carson Palmer QB ARI 34 9
192 16.12 FantasySharks Houston Def HOU
193 17.01 FantasySharks Marcel Reece RB OAK 29 4
194 17.02 Rotoexperts - Tony Toby Gerhart RB JAX 27 2
195 17.03 FFToolbox Quinton Patton WR SF 24 -1
196 17.04 ProFootballFocus Justin Hunter WR TEN 23 -1
197 17.05 TheHuddle San Francisco Def SF
I don't recommend taking a D before one of the last two rounds, but there was enough depth for the guys I would take in the next three rounds to nab one of the top ranked D's in round 17.
198 17.06 FantasyTaz Heath Miller TE PIT 32 7
199 17.07 RotoExperts - Scott Andre Ellington RB ARI 25 -1
200 17.08 DraftSharks Justin Forsett RB BAL 29 4
I totally (and mistakenly) bought into Forsett as the Seattle starter in 2010 after a terrific finish to 2009. But he performed well behind Houston's zone blocking last year and will find a similar scheme under the new Jacksonville coaches. Opportunities should arise playing behind the deteriorating MJD, and I don't believe in Denard Robinson debuting as a #2 RB in the NFL. I think he'll need more time to transition.
