Tyrod Taylor Contract Year Player QB BUF 28 6 QB - #19
No more Watkins = No more drafting Taylor as a QB1. Over the last two seasons, Taylor has done a nice job as game manager. He has a 14-14 record with only 12 Ints. The high volume run game of Buffalo lead to fewer than 29 pass attempts per game. In 2015, he gained 8.0 yards per pass attempt with Sammy Watkins on the field for 13 games. That number fell to 6.9 in 20... Read More
Carson Palmer QB ARI 37 14 QB - #21
At age 38, Palmer can't take the pounding he did last year (40 sacks and 127 QB hits). He still managed to pass for 4,000 yards for the third time in four seasons with Arizona while compiling a 35-17-1 record. Palmer led the NFL in yards per attempt in 2015 (8.7) but that number fell to 7.1 in 2016. Only twice in his 13-year career has Palmer passed for more than 3... Read More
Blake Bortles QB JAX 25 3 QB - #22
Don't draft off last year's numbers! Over three seasons in the NFL, Bortles has a career 11-34 record with regression in his 2016 season even with a career-high 625 passing attempts. He threw for 3,905 yards with 23 passing TDs and 16 Ints. In his first two years in the league, Blake was sacked 106 times. His stats looked impressive in 2015 (4,428 passing ya... Read More
Carlos Hyde Contract Year Player RB SF 26 3 RB - #19
Fantasy owners were rewarded with a nice six games from Hyde to start the 2016 season. He scored six TDs with 495 yards and 13 catches (16.4 Fantasy points per game). Carlos missed the next two games with a shoulder injury. When he returned to the starting lineup, Hyde had two games of value (95 combined yards with a TD and five catches and 200 combined yards with ... Read More
Lamar Miller RB HOU 26 5 RB - #23
The Texans gave Miller 299 touches in 2016 over 14 games, but he still underperformed based on his draft value. Miller ended up with 1,261 combined yards, six TDs, and 31 catches. He gained only 4.0 yards per rush and 6.1 yards per catch, which were career lows. He missed the last two games of the season with an ankle injury. Earlier in the season, he played thro... Read More
LeGarrette Blount RB PHI 30 7 RB - #37
There are reports Blount's role and job is in jeopardy. The Patriots gave Blount his best opportunity for success in his seventh season in the NFL. He set career highs in carries (299), rushing yards (1,161), and TDs (18). Blount gained just 3.9 yards per rush, which was his lowest rate with over 100 rushes in a season. His game offers minimal value in the passing ... Read More
Latavius Murray Contract Year Player RB MIN 27 4 RB - #43
Over the last two seasons with 461 carries, Murray averaged 4.0 yards per carry with 18 rushing TDs. He only has 100 yards rushing in four of his 30 games played over the last two years. Latavius battle an ankle injury in 2016, which required surgery In March to remove bone spurs. He has 74 combined catches in 2015 and 2016 with growth in his yards per catch (8.0) ... Read More
Jonathan Stewart RB CAR 30 9 RB - #46
The addition of McCaffrey won't change the role or value for Stewart in 2017, but his age and overall effectiveness certainly will. He'll still get plenty of carries on early downs plus be a factor in short yardage TDs. Over 39 games over the last three seasons, Jonathan had 635 carries (16.3 carries per game). Health will always be a concern with Stewart missing 2... Read More
Rob Kelley RB WAS 24 1 RB - #47
After being inactive in Weeks 1 and 2 and short touches over the next five games (4/7, 1/4, 3/18, 5/59, and 4/15), Rob stole the RB show in Week 8 (21/87/1). Over the last eight games of the season, Kelley had 141 touches (17.6 per game). During the span, he only had one impact game (24/137/3) with minimal value in the passing game (11/81 on 15 targets). Rob showed... Read More
Jamaal Charles RB DEN 30 9 RB - #52

At the same time, he has three wasted seasons due to two ACL injuries ... Read More
Giovani Bernard Contract Year Player RB CIN 25 4 RB - #55
In mid-November, Bernard blew out his left ACL that required surgery. A perfect recovery would put him on track to return in September, but teams tends to limit RB touches early in the season with these types of injuries. The addition of Mixon will help the Bengals take a slow path with Gio. He has over 1,000 combined yards in each of his first three seasons in the... Read More
Jerick McKinnon Contract Year Player RB MIN 25 3 RB - #70
The question of offensive line or RB talent is one a Fantasy owner must decide on many teams each year. The Vikings struggled to run the ball last year, and McKinnon was a train wreck when he had the ball in his hand in 2016. He gained only 3.4 yards per rush and 5.9 yards per catch. Jerick had 202 touches last season, which proved he wasn't the next version of Adr... Read More
Julius Thomas TE MIA 29 6 TE - #20
In 2013 and 2014 with Adam Gase as the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos, Thomas caught 108 passes for 1277 yards and 24 TDs on 152 targets. His game faded in back-to-back seasons for Jacksonville (46/455/5 and 30/281/4) with the latter season ending in Week 11 with a back injury. The offseason reports suggest he'll be 100 percent healthy headed in 2017.... Read More
Sammy Watkins WR LAR 24 3 WR - #23
His ADP value is sinking. He went pick 48 most recently, mostly for reasons of uncertainty. He's a very hard player to project right now until we see some chemistry with Goff. He is capable when healthy of beating even the best defenders in the league, so in the 4th round, he starts to make some serious sense. (Updated: 08/22/17) Now a member of th... Read More
Randall Cobb WR GB 27 6 WR - #36
After breaking through in 2014 (91/1287/12), Cobb just hasn't been the same player over the last two seasons. His failure in 2015 was due to Nelson not being on the field and defenses figuring out how to take him away from Rodgers. In 2016, he stumbled out of the gate (6/57, 5/42, and 1/33) with only 18 targets. Cobb became relevant over his next three starts (9/... Read More
Jeremy Maclin WR BAL 29 8 WR - #40
Don't let the name fool you. He's 29 yeras old and caught just 44 passes last season on 76 targets, his fewest of his seven year career. He brings Flacco a dependable receiver but not the playmaker that he once was. We project him for only 56 catches, 690 yards and 3 as we predict the younger but oft injured Breshad Perriman will out produce him in 2017.
