2017 Fantasy Football Handcuff Picks
Fantasy Handcuff pick: A player with good potential and high risk. Players in this category are usually backups to high profile running backs. It is unlikely that they will score a lot of points, but if the starter goes down they'll be a safe start for at least a few weeks. It is important to draft these players to hedge the bet on your starting RB getting injured. From our Fantasy Football Dictionary
We have classified the following players as fantasy handcuff picks for 2017. We will be updating this list throughout the pre-season.
|Matt Breida||RB||SF||22||R||RB - #49|
|In a surprising chain of events, Tim Hightower was cut and rookie RB Joe Williams was placed on IR, paving the way for Matt Breida to assume the RB2 role on this atrocious offense. He will serve as Carlos Hyde's primary backup.... Read More|
|James Conner||RB||PIT||22||R||RB - #76|
|When watching the highlights of Conner, he looked to have the movements of a quarterback running the ball (Steve McNair was my though) with a fullback's mentality yet to he had deceiving long speed. His footwork is choppy but driving while running with a high style. Over about three seasons at Pitt in college, James rushed for 3733 yards on 668 carries with 56 TDs ... Read More|
|D'Onta Foreman||RB||HOU||21||R||RB - #41|
|From ScoutFantasy GM Scott Atkins: His stock is skyrocketing. He just jumped four rounds in ADP on the strength of one preseason game. He passes the eye test. No big man has ever been as fast as Foreman. Let that statement sink in. Very impressive strong runner with serious upside. Now the knucklehead factor is apparently high in this one and I'm not usually a big... Read More|
|Derrick Henry||RB||TEN||23||1||RB - #24|
Henry will have to work a lot harder to have success in the NFL as his window to break long runs will be much smaller. He has excellent size (6'3' and 247 lbs.) with more speed and quickness than meets the eye. Derrick runs with patience while following his blockers until he sees daylight. His stiff arm will offer an edg... Read More
