Week 13: Sleepers of the Week

These lesser-known players deserve to start this week due to matchup or other circumstances. This week's picks include Chad Henne, Jonathan Dwyer, Rashad Jennings, Felix Jones, and Marcel Reece.

Ryan Broyles and the Detroit Lions face the Indianapolis Colts at home in week 13. Broyles has taken over as the Lions number two wide receiver, catching six passes for 126 yards in a week 12 overtime loss to the Houston Texans. Titus Young does not seem to be in the Lions plans, at least for the near future, making Broyles a near must own in fantasy leagues. He is currently owned in only 35 percent of leagues, but that number will jump prior to this weeks contest. If you are lucky enough to snatch the rookie wide receiver off waivers, he can be immediately placed into fantasy lineups as a WR 3, a strong one in point per reception leagues, and fantasy owners can expect five receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown this week.

Pierre Garcon and the Washington Redskins return home to take on the New York Giants in week 13. Garcon has been plagued with a foot injury the entire season, only fully returning to the field at near full strength in week 12. Garcon caught five passes for 93 yards and a touchdown in an impressive Thanksgiving day win over the Dallas Cowboys. Garcon was dropped in many fantasy leagues while he was dealing with his injury issues, but should be picked back up, as he is likely to be a strong WR 3 play for the remainder of the season. This weeks game against the Giants could turn into a high scoring affair, as the Redskins pass defense will be unable to slow down the Giants wide receivers. The Redskins will need to throw the ball to keep up with the Giants, making Garcon a good play for fantasy owners. You can start Pierre Garcon this week and can expect at least 75 yards and a touchdown.
