Preseason games are upon us. Bask in the glory as some of your favorites take the field for the first time this weekend and showcase their skills – for about 10 plays before putting on a baseball cap.
For some players, preseason results don't matter. It is more about timing, preparation, acclimating to the new season's game plan and, most importantly, staying healthy. If Drew Brees goes out and throws three interceptions, his fantasy draft stock will not move an inch.
But for others, preseason results are a major factor in deciding whether a certain player will be a high-profile starter or a simple backup when Week 1 arrives. Those fighting for meaningful roles in August could be huge contributors in your run to a fantasy title in December. Eagles Starting QB: Michael Vick and Nick Foles
The Eagles own a big chunk of this article, but quarterback is the position everyone will be watching. Considering Chip Kelly's brand of offense, it seems like Vick would be the most comfortable fit. But Kelly is making sure people understand that this is a true competition. Multiple Eagles beat writers have gone on record with their belief that Foles will win the job, citing his accuracy and protection of the football. Some other writers have said Vick will be the No. 1 guy. Both quarterbacks will work with the first-team offense on Friday, with Vick getting the start. Yet, Foles will get the start next week. The winner here will be a mid-range QB2.
