Week 4: Player Upgrades
Three weeks into the season and Cecil Shorts is the most targeted player in fantasy football. Wrap your brains around that one. The Jaguars aren't going to get much fantasy recognition, but Shorts is more than a catchy name. He only has 19 catches on a whopping 39 targets, but that's more on Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne for being – well – simply horrendous quarterbacks. Shorts has the undivided attention of whomever is under center for the Jaguars these days because he's the only talented offensive player this side of Maurice Jones-Drew (at least until Justin Blackom returns and starts ramping up). He's worth a start as a WR2/3 in most leagues and should consistently put up big yardage to go along with the occasional touchdown – a true rarity in Jacksonville.Injury Status: Out - Hamstring
Clay isn't an outstanding fantasy play, but he's 13th in tight end targets with 19 and fourth in tight end receiving yards. For reference, Tony Gonzalez has only had 18 balls thrown his way. He also has a rushing touchdown and it appears the injury to Dustin Keller opened up an opportunity for Clay and it's one he's taking full advantage of.
