Week 10: Pickups of the Week
Savvy owners sprinted to the waiver wires last week upon hearing the news about Justin Blackmon's season-long suspension and grabbed Brown. Considering Brown is owned in just over 25 percent of MyFantasyLeague leagues, there is still time. Over the Jaguars' last three games - and playing with Blackmon and Cecil Shorts - Brown caught nine passes for 212 yards and one TD. Obviously Jacksonville isn't a source for fantasy consistency, but we also know plenty of garbage time awaits. The schedule shapes up nicely as well during the playoff weeks: at Cleveland (Joe Haden takes Shorts), then home games versus Houston, Buffalo and Tennessee. Consider him a WR4 with matchup potential for more.MyFantasyLeague availability: 83%
No rationale needed for picking up a defense against Jacksonville (allows third most points to fantasy defenses). Then again, we should note that the Titans have not been a top fantasy producer this season; no more than two sacks in four straight weeks. Sometimes owners can get too cute and grab an underperforming unit regardless of the nice matchup. With this game in Tennessee, with Chris Johnson producing recently, with the Jaguars moving on without Justin Blackmon, this isn't too cute.
