Week 11: Start 'Em
Last week I wrote about Kendall Wright being a good start in point per reception leagues;, well this week it is Andre Roberts. Roberts won't be mistaken for a big play guy, but in a week where you might need help at WR or flex, Roberts could be the man. Last week when Michael Floyd went down with an injury, Roberts came in and led the Cardinals in targets with eight, catching five of them for 72 yards and his first touchdown of the season. Floyd suffered a sprained shoulder and it is unsure if he will be healthy enough to play this week. If Floyd sits out, Roberts makes for a solid WR3 start and a very good flex start.
When Randall Cobb when down with a long term injury, the Packers knew exactly who would replace him in the lineup: Jarrett Boykin. The Packers had felt for some time that they had a secret weapon on the bench and now they had a chance to unleash him. Using Boykin in a similar way as Cobb -- just get him the ball and let him do his thing -- has led to some very fine fantasy production. In three of the four games that Cobb has been out, Boykin has been very involved in the offense, catching 21 passed for 304 yards and his first career TD. The one game he didn't produce was two weeks ago when Aaron Rodgers went down with injury and the whole offense was in disarray. Rookie Scott Tolzien will be the starting QB this week and after what we saw last week, it would appear that Tolzien and Boykin have good chemistry, making Boykin a very solid WR3 or flex play.
