Week 8: Sit 'Em
The former star wide receiver has become just an afterthought in the Cowboys offense, making him no more than a bench player in fantasy leagues. Austin was dealing with a hamstring injury, but returned to the lineup in week six, but has been held catchless over the past two games. Not only can fantasy owners not count on Austin as a starter anymore, but he is on the verge of being dropable in most leagues. Fantasy owners should not consider starting the Cowboys wide receiver this week.
Another highly paid / under performing wide receiver, Dwayne Bowe has struggled to get anything going this season - despite the Chiefs' 7-0 start. Bowe caught five passes for 66 yards in week seven, both season highs for the former Pro Bowl wide receiver. Fantasy owners should not see this as the beginning of a good streak for Bowe, as he faces off with Joe Haden and the Cleveland Browns this week. Haden has been shadowing opponents' number one wide receivers all season and has been getting the best of some of the league's top wide receivers. This week should be no different, and fantasy owners should look elsewhere for a WR 3 this week.
