Week 9: Sit 'Em
Expectations were high for Danny Amendola coming into the season. Following his 10- catch, 104-yard performance in Week 1, fantasy owners were anticipating a big season from the former Rams receiver. Since then, Amendola has caught just nine passes for 70 yards, mainly due to injuries. The slot target returned last week, but was unable to make an impact, catching just three passes for 15 yards. The Patriots' passing game has not been in sync all season and with the Steelers coming up this week, don't expect them to get back on track. Fantasy owners can not count on Amendola as anything more than a WR 3 right now.Injury Status: Out - Knee
Marques Colston caught just three passes for 18 yards in Week 8. That's especially troublesome because Drew Brees threw for more than 330 yards and five touchdowns in that game. Colston has just 44 receiving yards over the past three games, and hasn't found the end zone since the season opener. Brees looks Colston's way at times, fine. It hasn't translated into production even for a player with six career 1,000 yard seasons. Fantasy owners are not able to count on Colston as a fantasy starter right now.
