Week 9: Sit 'Em
Despite averaging 90 receiving yards per game, Torrey Smith has found the endzone just once on the season. Smith was kept in check by Ike Taylor and the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7, and will be in for another tough battle with Joe Haden and the Browns this week. Facing off with Haden in Week 2, Smith caught seven balls for 85 yards -- numbers which will be trickier to duplicate on the road. While Smith can still be kept in lineups as a WR3, I would not count on him to put up starter worthy numbers in two WR leagues.
Expectations were high for Danny Amendola coming into the season. Following his 10- catch, 104-yard performance in Week 1, fantasy owners were anticipating a big season from the former Rams receiver. Since then, Amendola has caught just nine passes for 70 yards, mainly due to injuries. The slot target returned last week, but was unable to make an impact, catching just three passes for 15 yards. The Patriots' passing game has not been in sync all season and with the Steelers coming up this week, don't expect them to get back on track. Fantasy owners can not count on Amendola as anything more than a WR 3 right now.
