Week 10: IDP Studs and Sleepers

We take a look at Week 10 IDP action, from the starters and those free agents worthy of starting or stashing

Here we are with another batch of waiver wire possibilities with rest of season potential, weekly must-start studs and one-hit wonders who can help you more than you might expect for your IDP needs.

HAND-SELECTED WEEKLY PICKS
The following players are my own personal choice to have an excellent game this week. Call it clairvoyance, but it's more about matchup and situational awareness. From Weeks 4 to 9, I tried to dig deep, usually selecting players from outside the Top 25 at their position. For the rest of the season, all players will be available to choose from. This should help include players who are actually more relevant to IDP leagues. A hit means the player finished among the Top 20 in fantasy scoring at his position.

SEASON-TO-DATE SCORECARD
DT: 2-4 | DE: 1-5 | LB: 4-2 | CB: 2-4 | S: 3-3

DEFENSIVE TACKLE
Last week's pick: Antonio Johnson, Tennessee Titans - 1 tackles (miss)
Corey Peters, Atlanta Falcons vs SEA: Seattle has allowed DL to register 79 tackles and 80 assists. That's the second-highest tackle total in the NFL.

DEFENSIVE END
Last week's pick: Cory Redding, Indianapolis Colts - 2 tackles, 1 assist (miss)
Brett Keisel, Pittsburgh Steelers vs BUF: Buffalo is allowing the most fantasy points to DL. Keisel is Pittsburgh's leading fantasy DL.

LINEBACKER
Last week's pick: London Fletcher, Washington Redskins - seven tackles, six assists (hit)
Karlos Dansby, Arizona Cardinals vs HOU: Dansby is having one of the better seasons among IDP LBs. Houston is conceding over 30 fantasy points per game to LBs.

CORNERBACK
Last week's pick: Jabari Greer, New Orleans Saints - 1 PD (miss)
Josh Robinson, Minnesota Vikings vs WAS: Robinson has floated near the Top 20 among fantasy CBs all year. Washington has thrown four INTs and allowed 96 combined tackles to DBs in their last three games.

SAFETY
Last week's pick: Brandian Ross, Oakland Raiders - 3 tackles, 2 assists (hit)
Tyrann Mathieu, Arizona Cardinals vs HOU: Mathieu has been one of the best rookie IDPs. The Texans have let DBs accumulate 198 solo tackles, the most in the NFL (including teams who haven't taken their bye yet).

DEFENSIVE TACKLES
Note: Ranked outside Top 10 owned DTs on MyFantasyLeague

Kendall Langford, St. Louis Rams
Two weeks ago, I picked Langford as a hand-selected pick. He didn't do much. Last week, he posts six solos, two sacks and two TFLs. Such is life. Get him now while he's hot.

Corey Peters, Atlanta Falcons
Peters makes the list again as he continues to play relatively well. He's on pace for 52 combined tackles and six sacks.

DEFENSIVE ENDS
Note: Ranked outside Top 20 owned DEs on MyFantasyLeague

Antonio Smith, Houston Texans
If Smith could eliminate his occasional bad game, he'd be a Top 15 DE. Last week proved that as he recorded three solos and two sacks.

Cedric Thornton, Philadelphia Eagles
This second-year DE is coming into his own as of late. He's not a sack artist, but he has tallied at least four solos in five games.

LINEBACKERS
Note: Ranked outside Top 30 owned LBs on MyFantasyLeague

Paul Worrilow, Atlanta Falcons
Worrilow is the hot name among IDP experts. He is now a starter in Atlanta and blew up last week with 19 combined tackles.

K.J. Wright, Seattle Seahawks
Wright has at least five combined tackles in six straight games. He's not a big play guy; however, he's been reliable and could feasibly lock down a LB3 spot for your team.

CORNERBACKS
Note: Ranked outside Top 15 owned CBs on MyFantasyLeague

David Amerson, Washington Redskins
Amerson is beginning to blossom into his role. He has earned at least four combined tackles in his last three games and is certainly making the most of limited role.

Josh Robinson, Minnesota Vikings
Robinson is back on the list. His point totals are slightly from the start of the year, but he is still contributing like a CB2.

SAFETIES
Note: Ranked outside Top 20 owned Ss on MyFantasyLeague

Chris Clemons, Miami Dolphins
Clemons is red-hot right now. In his last two games, he has tallied 20 combined tackles.

Kenny Vaccaro, New Orleans Saints
The 2013 safety draft class looks like the real deal. Between Mathieu, Eric Reid, and Vaccaro (and maybe Bacarri Rambo), all of them look like long-term IDP options. Vaccaro has four combined tackles in every game. If he starts making more plays on the ball, he could move into the Top 10 at his position.
