Week 7: Sleepers

While we're not projecting starting type stats for these players, they have good potential and could surprise. This week's picks include Profiled players include Nick Foles, Eli Manning, Andre Ellington, Ryan Mathews, and T.Y. Hilton.

With defenses keyed in on Victor Cruz (not that they're doing much to stop him), the Giants' offense has been forced to find other ways to move the chains. Enter Randle, stage right. The second-year wideout has collected nine passes for 171 yards and three scores over his last two games. He should continue that success against a Minnesota defense that ranks 25th in fantasy points allowed to WRs. Randle actually leads the team with eight 20-plus yard receptions. Offenses have been keying in on Minnesota's cornerback Josh Robinson quite often and it has led to great results. Pro Football Focus ranks Robinson as the league's third-worst corner, while guys like Xavier Rhodes and Chris Cook are average at-best. Randle is basically putting up the numbers that we thought were expected for Nicks. The former LSU wideout is becoming a dependable WR2 and just needs to string together a few quality games to become a regular fantasy starter.

You're not starting Fauria in most weeks, but he's definitely someone to monitor who can come off your bench when in a pinch. Despite extremely limited playing time, Fauria has become a go-to option for Matthew Stafford in the red zone and at the goal-line. He has nine targets to his name, which he has converted into seven receptions for 66 yards and five TDs. Basically, if he gets the ball, it's a touchdown. Given Brandon Pettigrew's consistent disappointment (only 20 receptions for 187 yards and no TDs), it's only a matter of time before the playing time begins to creep in Fauria's favor. Just keep in mind that Fauria's production runs hot to ice cold from week-to-week. He's not for the faint of heart.
