The passers, runners and receivers rising the short and long term fantasy football ranks This week's picks include Profiled players include Carson Palmer, Matt Ryan, Toby Gerhart, Marcel Reece, and Roddy White.

Aaron Rodgers appears set to return and that means a resurgence for the Packers' passing game, particularly for his favorite target -- Nelson. Green Bay's best wideout has seen his numbers drop off without Rodgers. He hasn't caught a touchdown pass since the injury and has been targeted just four times in the past two games combined. With Rodgers over the first seven games, Nelson had three 100-yards performances and seven touchdowns, so be sure to re-insert him should Rodgers make his way back into the lineup this week.

Joe Flacco has missed Pitta all year and so have fantasy footballers everywhere amidst a desolate tight end landscape. The Ravens quickly put Pitta to work upon his return from injury, targeting him 11 times to the tune of six catches for 48 yards and a touchdown. In fact, Pitta was the third-most targeted tight end in Week 14. Considering the emphasis the Ravens put on the tight end position, make sure to grab Pitta should he stuck on the outside looking in at Jimmy Graham and Charles Clay.
