Dyansty: Mock Startup Draft w/ Rookies for the Dynasty World Championship

An off season look at a Dynasty Startup Draft

We at FFToolbox.com along with our friends at DynastyLeagueFootball.com are inviting you to enjoy this exciting new contest. Both sites will be providing year round dynasty content for our players consultation and enjoyment.

We are now taking 2014 SIGNUPS for NEW START-UP Dynasty Drafts.

WHAT IS DYNASTY? - Dynasty leagues are, without a doubt, the fastest growing segment in all of fantasy sports. The concept is actually quite simple. Draft your startup team, compete all year and KEEP your entire team the following year. You add to your team in the off-season through an annual ROOKIE draft every year after the NFL Draft.

FORMAT: Teams will compete in their league of 12 through week 13. The team with the best record and the team with the most points will be rewarded at that time. Then, the top 4 teams (best record, most points, next best record, next best points) will advance to both the league playoffs and theChampionship Round where large cash prizes will be awarded. Teams will be competing in a points shootout over those three weeks with their average weekly score from weeks 1-13 added in.

Everyone is excited about our drafts this Summer so we decided to host a Startup MOCK Draft to see what everybody is thinking.

Any surprises through the first round?

1. Jamaal Charles, RB KC

2. LeSean McCoy, RB PHI

3. Dez Bryant, WR DAL

4. AJ Green, WR CIN

5. Josh Gordon, WR CLE

6. Julio Jones, WR ATL

7. Calvin Johnson, WR DET

8. Jimmy Graham, TE NO

9. Demaryius Thomas, WR DEN

10. Giovani Bernard, RB CIN

11. Randall Cobb, WR GB

12. Adrian Peterson, RB MIN

I think seeing Megatron fall to the 7th pick in the draft is quite surprising. Most dynasty drafters draft with a 3 year window in mind. Some think 5, but to think that Calvin won't be the Top option at WR for the next 5 years seems like a stretch. Sure, AJ Dez and Gordon MIGHT do it, but Calvin is the safest dynasty pick by far in this man's humble opinion.
