Week 8: Sit 'Em
Willis McGahee made many fantasy owners jealous with his 7 touchdowns over the first three games -- 6 rushing, 1 receiving. Since Week 3 he has only had 12 yards rushing and 2 receptions for 1 touchdown. Ray Rice is the clear backfield starter in Baltimore. Now McGahee faces an undefeated Denver team as back-up to Ray Rice. Le'Ron McClain is also basically out of the picture with Rice's spiked performance. McGahee has shown his prowess over and over again throughout his career, but with his decreased role lately and this week's match-up, he should sit your bench. McGahee is ranked 49th this week and his performance should be representative of this ranking.
Knowshon Moreno has not rushed for over 100 yards in a game yet this season. This is quite uncharacteristic of a Denver running back and he has only 2 touchdowns -- 1 rushing and 1 receiving -- this season. In Week 8 he faces a stout Baltimore defense who will hope to deal Denver their first loss of the season. Orton and his offense will be challenged by the Baltimore defense and it is likely that Ray Rice might cause some commotion among the Denver defense on offense. Overall I feel that this game might be a low scoring affair. Orton will try to get things going through the passing game and that is where Marshall can play a big role and limit Moreno's ground game if he and Orton are successful. Moreno is ranked 32nd at the position this week and will likely see less than 50 yards rushing and be limited in reception yards as well.
