Week 15: Deep League Pickups
The Miami Dolphins (the Tennessee Titans' opponent this week) are giving up the 5th most fantasy points to the Tight End position this season. Scaife (the Titans' starter) has at least four receptions in four straight games and has posted his two best yardage games on the season in that stretch. With only one TD on the season, the free agent to be does have a ton of upside, but is a steady eddy at a position often lacking that type of option. Keep your eye on the Vince Young injury as Scaife's numbers have improved since VY entered the lineup (though he and Kerry Collins had a good connection last year).MyFantasyLeague availability: 12%
Raise your hand if you would have guessed that the Seahawks boast a top 10-12 fantasy defense this year? Well, it is very forgivable if you were unaware considering they have scored less than six points in nine games this year. The bulk of their scoring has come in four games against some of the worst teams/QBs: Shaun Hill, David Garrard, Matthew Stafford and Kyle Boller. That trend of beating up on the sisters of the poor (other than Garrard) should continue this week against the Bucs' Josh Freeman, who has throw 12 picks in the first six starts of his career. The overall poor numbers of the defense makes using them somewhat risky, but the upside at home is off the charts and make the Seahawks a strong play this week (especially for those who do not own one of the top plays already).
