Cardinals RB Beanie Wells underwent 'complicated' knee surgery

What is known is that Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells had surgery performed on his right knee during the offseason. He calls it "just a scope." But when it comes to important specifics, Wells is keeping his lips zipped. He was asked Tuesday if his meniscus was involved, to which Wells responded: "Naw, not really meniscus. It was a little more complicated."
From the Arizona Republic: "Asked later if he had microfracture surgery, Wells smiled as he walked into the locker room."
The plan right now if for Wells to sit out OTAs and be fully healthy by the time training camp opens.

Fantasy Analysis:

So now the microfracure angle is a hot rumor. Despite playing the large majority of last season on cranky knees, Wells gained more than 1,000 yards for the first time in his three-year career and scored 10 touchdowns. But his knees have always been a problem. This news certainly doesn't calm any worries. Even if he is able to go full speed in training camp, Wells remains a major injury waiting to happen. His 2012 fantasy value will hinge on his own health as well as Ryan Williams @lilsweetness34' recovery from patella tendon surgery.
