Cowboys WR Dez Bryant says injuries held him back in '11

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant @DezBryant finished the 2011 season -- just his second in the NFL -- with 928 yards and nine touchdowns. In a 12-team league, that's close to WR2 territory. But Bryant understands that he can do better, and one of the reasons for his "low" totals was a thigh injury that he suffered in week one.
"I don't think I was ever where I wanted to be," Bryant said Wednesday. "... I just didn't feel like [the thigh] healed quick enough. ... Some of the game tape that I watched from last year -- I really wasn't too proud of myself. I know it's because of the injuries, but I feel like this year, I'm spending more time focusing on my body and making sure everything is right."

Fantasy Analysis:

Bryant has battled injuries through his first two seasons, but at least he battled through the pain to put up some very respectable totals last year. If he can stay healthy, he'll be a WR1, even with Austin and Witten and all of the other weapons in Dallas. We all know he is that good.
