Apparently there's more to the story of Adrian Peterson 'a arrest from early Saturday morning at a Houston nightclub. He tweeted Sunday, "Thank you for waiting for the facts. Truth will surface."
What has been reported is that Peterson shoved a security guard for the club -- who just happened to be an off-duty police officer -- after being told twice that closing time had arrived, and he and his group needed to leave. Peterson was told he was under arrest for the shove, but it took three officers to handcuff him. Peterson was booked on resisting arrest and later released on $1,000 bond.
TMZ posted a short video of the incident Sunday, but it doesn't add much. It just a bunch of shaky cam action with a blur of people all over the place. Peterson is in frame for only a few seconds. Regardless of what the truth is, this shouldn't have a large impact on Peterson's NFL future. Outside of this and a citation for speeding a few years ago, Peterson has not been in trouble with the law.
And hey, if it took three officers to subdue Peterson, that must mean his surgically repaired knee is getting stronger, right?
