Steelers LB James Harrison may require surgery on knee

Pittsburgh Steeler OLB James Harrison @jharrison9292 may need orthoscopic knee surgery.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Steeler defense may start the season without 2 starters with this news. Harrison has yet to practice and is on the camp PUP list. He is having an irritation behind his knee cap. It kind of sounds like a scope might be in order. If that is the case, the start of the season is in jeopardy for him. Harrison would be the second starter out with NT Casey Hampton also out right now after ACL Surgery. 2011 fifth round pick Chris Carter is starting for Harrison in the mean time. Harrison has been a standout linebacker for the past 5 seasons in Pittsburgh. It seems hard to say this about the Steeler defense, but if both Hampton and Harrison miss the start of the season do you lower your expectations for them from a fantasy perspective??
