Report: Titans WR Kenny Britt may not be suspended

It will probably still happen at some point, but no suspension has been handed down to Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt @KennyBritt_18 yet. His latest run-in with the law was a July DUI. But Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio wrote Friday it's possible that Britt may actually not be given any suspension.
"Complicating the present case is the fact that Britt, despite eight total arrests (and counting), has been arrested for DUI only once. Since DUIs fall under the substance-abuse policy and since the substance-abuse policy says that the usual penalty for a first-offense DUI, Britt may not be subject to suspension."
Britt's previous seven arrests have all been matters under the league's personal conduct policy. Florio also wrote that even if Britt was suspended in the "immediate future," he would probably be eligible to play Week 1 due to the length of the appeals process.

Fantasy Analysis:

This is kind of similar to what Marshawn Lynch is dealing with right now after his own DUI arrest in July. All of his previous transgressions fell under the league's personal-conduct policy. Even if three of Britt's arrest did come during a lockout, and he's a first-time offender of the substance-abuse policy, it's still difficult for me to wrap my head around the possibility of no suspension. Roger Goodell doesn't seem like a man who would let this slide. But we'll see. So far, nothing has come down.
Britt's knees are a bigger issue for fantasy owners. Head coach Mike Munchak said Thursday that Britt could handle 10-15 plays in the season-opening game. His workload would grow from there but gradually. No one knows when he'll be at full power after undergoing three knee operations in the past 11 months. And yes, I still think a multi-game suspension is going to added.
Britt is No. 27 in FFToolbox's WR rankings. I think that's too high -- I would have him down in the mid-30s since I think he's going to miss 3-4 games -- but he has the talent to win a lot of fantasy matchups for people during the second half of the season. I would like to get him in the middle rounds as a WR3 or high-end WR4.
