Wide receiver Danario Alexander has been waived/injured by the St. Louis Rams. That means Alexander will be placed on injured reserve if he makes it through waivers unclaimed. Alexander has seen his career bogged down by his health, or rather lack of it. He has missed most of training camp because of a hamstring injury.
Alexander has the ability to be a down-field threat. He is 6-foot-5 with speed. But it seems like he gets hurt as often as the sun rises. The Rams could use a field-stretcher like Alexander, but he's no good to them if he can't stay on the field. At just 24 years of age, Alexander will certainly be given another shot to turn his career around. The Rams receiving corps, with or without Alexander, remains a mess. Danny Amendola is probably still the top target here -- although Brian Quick could make an impact later in the season. But nobody in this group is even close to WR3 quality right now.
