Baltimore Ravens running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery said last week that Ray Rice was still going to get a large workload despite the team's pass-heavy display in the preseason.
Perhaps acting on the belief that people forgot that statement from eight days ago, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron sounded almost insulted when asked if this preseason approach will lead to fewer touches for Rice.
"Absolutely not," Cameron told the Ravens' official web site on Tuesday. "It has nothing to do with touches fo Ray. Ray, we know, is one of our best players.
"The bottom line is that [Rice] always a huge part of what we're doing, and we're always looking to see how people are defending him to see how we can continue to get him the ball in space."
Got it? Rice is going to still handle the pigskin a ton this season. Grab him early on and watch the numbers roll in.
