Saints WR Marques Colston questionable with foot injury

Saints wide receiver Marques Colston @MarquesColston was limited in practice Friday due to a sore left foot and is listed as questionable to play Sunday versus the Redskins. The pain in his foot limited Colston in Thursday's practice after he sat out on Wednesday.

Fantasy Analysis:

Even if Colston was suddenly ruled out for the season, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a bigger story in New Orleans and around the league than the decision that was just reached in the appeals case stemming from the Saints' bounty program. But I digress ...
Colston has a history of knee injuries, but he's been fairly durable in recent years. If nothing else, he plays through pain. He missed just two games last year after breaking his collarbone in Week 1. From 2009-10, he played in 31 of 32 regular-season games. And he'll play this weeknd, too. Colston will gut it out as he has so often and is a must-start WR2.

I'm in a PPR league and I have to choose between Maclin and Colston. Right now just due to the uncertainty of workload, and what should be a good matchup against CLE, I have Maclin in my lineup. Which do you think is the safer bet this weekend, which has the most upside?

Colston is the safer bet, if he's healthy. Cleveland is actually a very tough matchup for WR's.

In a PPR league, I have Colston as my flex and Nate Washigton on the bench. Should I start Washington this week considering his matchup situation and likelihood of getting passes with Britt out?

@offset: Go with Colston. Better matchup. He'll play through pain. And yes, Cleveland had one of the best secondaries statistically versus WRs last season.

@Derek: I understand the worries about Colston, but this foot injury does not sound too serious. If starting Washington means having to bench Colston, I wouldn't do it. I do love Washington this week, but Colston is consistently solid. And he should be again Sunday.
