CBS Sports' NFL insider Jason La Canfora reported that Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon will not play in Week 2 against the St. Louis Rams. Garcon was injured during his 88-yard touchdown catch and run in the first quarter against the New Orleans Saints. A source close to the team said, "It's pretty hard to play when the first time you really even try it is before the game."
It's hard to not be excited about the Redskins as half the team seemed to score a bunch of fantasy points last week. Garcon is a great sell-high candidate although you have to admit, he looked great after the catch on that touchdown. When he does eventually come back, he looks like a solid WR2. In the meantime, rookie WR Aldrick Robinson will see more snaps and given the nature of this matchup, starting him as a flex isn't out of the question (it's just really risky).
