Redskins RB Alfred Morris played just 34 snaps in Week 2

It's not quite Shanahanigans, but Redskins running back Alfred Morris @Trey_Deuces' snap count from Sunday's loss to the Rams is a little perplexing. Morris was on the field for 34 of the team's 63 offensive snaps Sunday. It's a steep drop for Morris after he was on the field for 54 of 76 plays in Week 1. He gained 89 yards on 16 carries in St. Louis.

Fantasy Analysis:

This could probably be attributed to game situation more than anything else. Unlike Week 1, the Redskins trailed in the second half, taking Morris out of the equation more often. Morris got three carries in the final 21 minutes of the game, but he's still the team's No. 1 running back. Evan Royster @Evan_Royster was on the field for just 15 plays, and Roy Helu @royhelujr29 saw only six snaps. Morris remains a fine RB2/flex option, especially against the Bengals in Week 3 since they gave up more than 100 yards rushing to Trent Richardson two days ago.
