Colts wide receiver Austin Collie has given a week of full practice participation. That's a big step up from last week when Collie did not respond well after a Wednesday practice and was inactive for the Vikings game. Collie may not play versus the Jaguars either, but we'll know for sure on Saturday. That's when Collie will meet with doctors in an attempt to gain final clearance to be on the field.
It's a precautionary measure by the Colts, but when you're dealing with a player who has suffered at least four concussions in his short career, there are no issues with being careful. If Collie is active on Sunday, I would keep him on your fantasy bench, and wait to see how he feels after hopefully making it through a full game. If he's OK after this week, then we can start discussing his long-term value. Immediately, I think you'll see his presence negatively affect Donnie Avery, who has been a hot free-agent grab this week. If all Colts wide receivers are 100 percent, I'm pretty sure Avery will be no higher than third in the pecking order for passes, behind Collie and Reggie Wayne.
