Broncos RB Willis McGahee & TE Jacob Tamme day-to-day

With Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee dealing with injured rib cartilage, the former University of Miami star has been listed as questionable and day-to-day. Also listed day-to-day is tight end Jacob Tamme @JacobTamme with an injured groin, although he's probable to play. After three games, Tamme has 10 receptions for 87 yards and a touchdown. McGahee has 50 carries for 213 yards and two touchdowns with most of that production coming in a Week 2 game against Atlanta. Rib injuries are tough to come back from for RBs since they are often hit in the chest which potentially accelerates re-injury.

Fantasy Analysis:

Tamme is more or less a lock to play next week, but counting on McGahee would be a mistake. Even if he gets his hands on the kevlar chest protector that Michael Vick uses, which came with lofty guarantees to protect him from injury, McGahee likely can't afford to take 15 to 25 shots without taking a serious risk to his health. Owners should be prepared for his absence and secure a second option. Expect the Broncos to lean on Lance Ball @LanceBall35 and Ronnie Hillman @MrHillman2U since Knowshon Moreno @knowshonmoreno was inactive for unknown reasons last week.
