Bucs DE Adrian Clayborn done for the season

Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Adrian Clayborn @AJaClay, a former first round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, has been placed on injured reserve with a torn knee ligament. The precise details of the injury have yet to be released by the team. In his rookie season, Clayborn finished with 42 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles. The former Iowa standout is a key piece of the Bucs' pass rush. He not only finished fourth among rookies last year in sacks, he was his team's leader as well.

Fantasy Analysis:

Clayborn is a big loss although he hasn't quite been a quality IDP for fantasy purposes. That said, offenses will face a weaker pass rush against Tampa which doesn't bode well for a team already ranked dead last in pass defense. The Bucs are allowing 353.3 passing yards per game, including a league-worst 17 passes over 20-plus yards and again a league-worst 5 passes over 40-plus yards. If you've got QB, WR, or TE matched up against Tampa in the coming weeks, be sure to consider them for your starting lineup.
