Lions QB Matthew Stafford back at it Thursday

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford @Staff_9 was back at practice on Thursday after needing some rest due to a hip injury. It was reported that Stafford "looked comfortable" and was "moving well" according to Chris McCosky, a beat writer with The Detroit News. Stafford exited late during the Lions' thrilling overtime loss at the hands of the Tennessee Titans. Shaun Hill would take over for Stafford if he's unable to play although Stafford's return is a positive indicator he'll be ready to play.

Fantasy Analysis:

Stafford isn't one to sit on the sidelines. After what has been a shaky start offensively, the Lions need to get back on track against Minnesota. The Lions have lost each of their last two games. In addition, Stafford was a consensus Top 5 QB in fantasy drafts yet has underperformed to put it politely. Getting his health back and scoring big points in bunches has to be this team's top priorities. As for adding Shaun Hill, he isn't a bad pick-up, but shouldn't be counted on as a fantasy starter if he plays. Fantasy owners would be best served remaining patient with Stafford as he has the potential to be one of the game's best, as we all witnessed last year.
