Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall expected to return Week 5

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall @R_Mendenhall should make his debut in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Mendenhall tore his right ACL on New Year's Day in last season's regular season finale against the Cleveland Browns. Since then, he's right on schedule with his return as many reports over the spring felt he wouldn't be able to return until Week 5 or 6. Pittsburgh's running game has suffered in his absence with both Isaac Redman @ired33 and Jonathan Dwyer @JDwyer27 unable to gain any traction.

Fantasy Analysis:

Mendenhall should be the featured back and if you've held onto him for this long, there's no harm in kicking the tires by inserting him into your starting lineup. Expectations should be reasonable too since the Steelers are playing Philly. The Eagles have been solid against the run yet they are tied in allowing the most 20-plus yard rushes in the NFL (five). As long as Mendenhall sees around 20 touches per game, he'll be a capable RB2 throughout the remainder of the season.
