The writing has been on the wall for Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker. After separating his non-throwing shoulder twice in a matter of weeks, Locker will not play in Week 5 and his status beyond that has been described as "uncertain" by head coach Mike Munchak. Backup QB Matt Hasselbeck will step forward and start. A previous report from a shoulder separation specialist said that Locker would likely need to undergo surgery to fully repair this injury.
The Titans have had more downs than ups through the first four weeks. They've been thoroughly handled by New England, San Diego, and Houston, losing in each game by at least three touchdowns. They won an incredible overtime game against Detroit in Week 3 and now without Locker, another loss or two will really make any playoff aspirations officially come to an end. As for Hasselbeck's fantasy value, he's a nice pick up in deeper formats yet it's a big stretch for him to produce like a weekly starter.
