Contrary to reports that came out following Thursday's game against the Cardinals, Amendola did not fracture his right collarbone. He actually dislocated it. That is supposedly good news, according to NFL insider Adam Caplan. Caplan also reported Friday that Amendola is expected to miss 6-7 weeks.
I am not getting the "better news" part of this whole deal. Ryan Mathews fractured his collarbone during the preseason, and he missed six weeks. I get that a break is by definition more severe, but if a dislocation is going to cause you to miss as many games ... I don't see any bright side to this story. In any case, Amendola's gonna be down for a while, so it is up to the likes of Brian Quick , Chris Givens , Brandon Gibson and others to pick up the slack. For fantasy, take a wait-and-see approach toward this Rams passing attack. And be prepared to wait like you're at the DMV.
