Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe wants "very badly" to be traded, according to Yahoo's Jason Cole. The Palm Beach Post is reporting that the Dolphins are not pursuing Bowe. Cole also reiterated that point, but added that it is not happening "yet." Bowe, a six-year vet from LSU has been with the Chiefs his whole career after being selected 23rd overall in the 2007 NFL Draft.
Trades don't happen very often in the NFL and they usually require the player to put a lot of public pressure on the team. The tough reality here is that Bowe realistically has three or four really good years left before he's well into his 30s. Miami isn't a dramatically improved situation but I do feel he could be a much more dominant player in a good offense. There's no reason for fantasy owners to panic about him tanking this season, but I can understand why an owner would want to trade him since Bowe's trade request can be misconstrued to imply his heart isn't in it this season. If Bowe did get traded away, that'd be a big fantasy bump for Dexter McCluster and the rest of the Chiefs' receiving corps.
