Buccaneeers wide receiver Vincent Jackson didn't stick around long during Friday's practice. Jackson popped up on the injury report Thursday with a calf injury. According to Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune, Jackson left Friday's practice with a trainer "when the heavy lifting started." However, Cummings is hearing that the early departure "is all precautionary." Jackson has 20 catches for 370 yards and four touchdowns this year.
Update: Jackson is listed as probable on the injury report and should be fine for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Update: There is no reason to expect Jackson sitting this one out. Get him in your lineup.
So the expectation remains that Jackson's calf will be strong enough to allow him to play Sunday against the Saints. His fantasy owners certainly hope so because the matchup is very favorable. If Jackson is a game-time inactive, Mike Williams value would get a huge boost. We will know more about Jackson's chances once the Bucs release their official injury report later today.
