Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew probably out for 'extended period'

No clear diagnosis has been made public about Maurice Jones-Drew @Jones_Drew32's foot injury, but Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey said Monday that Jones-Drew won't play in Week 8 against the Packers and is "probably going to be out an extended period." Murlarkey said he didn't know the specifics of the injury but that the problem is "something" in the middle of Jones-Drew's left foot. He also said the team might add a running back during the week.

Fantasy Analysis:

MJD owners have to hope that he has just a normal sprain, but it's never good to see a running back on crutches and then find out that he has a mid-foot injury. The word "Lisfranc" comes to mind. That would be a worst-case scenario. Rashad Jennings @RashadJennings, who was a popular draft pick right before the season while Jones-Drew was holding out, should be picked up in all leagues immediately. He got 28 touches yesterday and turned them into more than 100 yards from scrimmage with a touchdown against the Raiders. He is a three-down back and would be an RB2 right away.
