Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray not expected to play Sunday

According to Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill, running back DeMarco Murray @DeMarcoMurray isn't expected to play this weekend against Giants because of his sprained foot. Murray was seen carrying crutches on Monday, even though he was reportedly walking without a limp. Felix Jones @felixjones28 is expected to get the start but since he is dealing with a sprained knee and a strained neck, Phillip Tanner @PTanner34 might very well see more work in Week 8.

Fantasy Analysis:

This jibes with what ESPN's Ed Werder said today when he called Murray "doubtful" for Sunday. Because Jones is nicked up and his penchant for getting hurt, he might split carries with Tanner evenly. Tanner may not be a great fantasy play this weekend, but he should at least be added in all deep leagues. The Giants had a very tough time slowing down Alfred Morris last week, and Tanner is much more similar to him than Jones is.
