Lions RB Mikel Leshoure misses practice, not injury related

Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartch reassured the media and fans by stating that running back Mikel Leshoure @MikelLeShoure25 missed Wednesday's practice for personal reasons and not an injury. This goes against earlier reports which speculated that the second-year back injured his leg during the third quarter of Sunday's game. Leshoure is questionable heading into Week 9's contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Lions need to start better establishing their running game. Forcing defenses to respect Leshoure and Co. takes a lot of pressure of Matthew Stafford @Staff_9 and Calvin Johnson. Given this week's favorable matchup, consider Leshoure a solid flex option. Realistically though, Leshoure is a spot-start player since Detroit hasn't provided a heavy workload to him just yet. It also doesn't help that Joique Bell @JoiqueBell is playing a lot too.
