Colts RB Donald Brown downgraded to questionable for Week 9

Team doctors found swelling in Donald Brown @Donaldb31's knee on Saturday, the same knee he had scoped a few weeks back, so he has been downgraded from probable to questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Brown rushed for 80 yards on 14 carries last week, his first action since Oct. 7. A couple days after that Week 5 game, Brown had to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery to remove some torn knee cartilage. He missed practice this past Thursday, but made up for it by putting in a full practice on Friday. Even if he plays, Colts interim head coach Bruce Arians has said that he will share the carries evenly with Vick Ballard @VickBallard.

Fantasy Analysis:

Not that you were giddy to start Brown this week anyway. The Dolphins haven't allowed a running back to top 80 yards on the ground all season, and the only two rushing touchdowns they allowed to an back were scored by Arian Foster in Week 1. Even if Ballard and Brown were both healthy, both of them would just be mediocre flex options against the third-best run defense in the league. If Brown is inactive, I'd bump Ballard up slightly, but the matchup would still make him a low-end RB2, in my opinion.
