For the second week in a row, the Raiders will be without running backs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson . But now the injury bug is biting their receiving corps. Wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey is a game-time decision because of a hamstring injury. Heyward-Bey reportedly "tweaked" his hamstring during Wednesday practice, leading to his absence on Thursday and Friday. If Heyward-Bey can't play, Rod Streater and Derek Hagan will be called upon to pick up the slack.
Of course, McFadden and Goodson have a high ankle sprain and never had a shot at playing this week despite reports earlier in the week to the contrary. Marcel Reece should handle the ball another 20 times and is a nice RB2 option in all formats against the Saints.
A mid-week hamstring strain is never a good thing for a speedy wide receiver, to put it lightly. Remember when Jordy Nelson had a hamstring tighten up on him during a Wednesday practice a couple of weeks ago? He missed the Packers' next game, and it is expected among Raiders scribes that DHB will follow a similar course. This is a late kickoff, so play it safe and get him out of your lineup. This game should still be a shootout, so if Heyward-Bey is sidelined, Streater is worth a shot in the dark in very deep leagues.
