Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart has high ankle sprain

Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart @Jonathanstewar1 really hasn't been healthy for most of the season, but he's played through the pain. However, an injury he picked up on Monday night will probably force him to sit down for at least a couple of games. Stewart suffered a left high ankle sprain against the Eagles. Head coach Ron Rivera said Tuesday that Stewart is "day to day," but a high ankle sprain usually means multiple missed games for any running back.
Stewart missed two games during the early portion of the season because of a sprained right ankle, and he's been dealing with a lingering toe injury.
"He's fighting through it, and he's doing the best he can with it," offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski said of Stewart to the Charlotte Observer. "I know some weeks it's better than others. We'll just have to wait and see and hopefully we can get that thing healed up quick."

Fantasy Analysis:

The Panthers will have to turn back to DeAngelo Williams @DeAngeloRB as their starter, but he will likely share work with Mike Tolbert @miketolbert35. And as we saw on Monday, everything close to the goal line will likely be taken by Cam Newton. Williams averaged less than two yards per carry against the Eagles and is a little over three yards per carry for the season. He is nothing more than a flex for Week 13 at Kansas City.
