Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is most likely going to be a game-time decision for Sunday's game versus the Ravens no matter what happens during the week. But there are early, encouraging signs that he might be able to give it a go. Roethlisberger practiced on Wednesday, albeit in limited fashion. He and the Steelers are hoping he misses just two games after dislocating ribs and spraining his throwing shoulder in Week 10 against the Chiefs.
This is another instance where any practice is good practice. We are really no closer to finding out if Ben will play against the Ravens, but if he is able to throw the ball well and put in limited practices throughout the week, I think he will tough it out and suit up. As I wrote yesterday, the Steelers need to do whatever they can to avoid Charlie Batch getting another start.
