Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson was termed a "longshot" to play in Week 15 as he continues to battle a hamstring injury that kept him out of practice on Wednesday. The fifth-year receiver did not play last week against Detroit. Now that Greg Jennings is fully healthy, the Packers can afford to rest Nelson and allow him to rest his injury for at least a week or two. A win over Chicago would lock up the NFC North for Green Bay which would give all the more reason for Nelson to sit.
Nelson has not quite lived up to his season totals from 2011, yet he remains a solid WR3/flex across all formats. Randall Cobb 's tremendous sophomore season has taken a lot of pressure off of Nelson as well. Don't cut Nelson just yet since he likely will play at least one more game and you may need him later. It's highly unlikely he would survive very long on your waiver wire anyway. Be patient and hope he can return to form for now.
