49ers TE Vernon Davis 'should' be ready after minor concussion

If there is such a thing as a "minor" concussion, San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis @VernonDavis85 has apparently recovered from it and "should be available" for Week 17 according to CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco. Since the 49ers will be without Mario Manningham @ManninghamNYG because of a serious knee injury, Davis will likely be called upon to produce more in the passing game. Davis has yet to gain clearance to practice or play from an independent neurologist so there is nothing official out to suggest whether he will play or not.

Fantasy Analysis:

The 49ers were already without Kyle Williams @KyleWilliams_10 and losing Manningham will further stifle a team that lacks a consistent air attack. Michael Crabtree @KingCrab15 may be having a career year, but asking the 35-year-old Randy Moss @DaRealOtisMoss to play a full slate of snaps is unrealistic after playing sparringly all season. Davis has not gained more than 30 yards or scored a touchdown since Nov. 19 back in Week 12.
