Ravens S Ed Reed will not retire after Super Bowl

Although Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis @raylewis has made clear his intention to retire after the season, safety Ed Reed will not be following his teammate to greener pastures. Reed announced he will not retire after the Super Bowl. The 34-year-old is enjoying his 11th season in the league. His first year in the league was two seasons after the Ravens won the Super Bowl back in the 2000-01 season.

Fantasy Analysis:

Reed has a great shot at becoming a Hall of Famer, but we aren't quite there yet. A nine-time Pro Bowler, Reed ranks 10th all-time in interceptions and first in interception return yards. The Ravens are on the door step of a title so all the big questions are on the table, which is why it is for the best that Reed address this issue early. Plus, he probably does not want to step on the spotlight that has been affixed to Lewis' impending retirement.
