Eagles sign former Oregon QB Dennis Dixon

The rumors about quarterback Dennis Dixon joining the Eagles have been circulating ever since Chip Kelly signed on the dotted line. On Thursday, it became a reality as Dixon agreed to a two-year contract with the Eagles. Kelly was the University of Oregon's offensive coordinator during Dixon's senior year. In the pros, Dixon has made three starts in five seasons. He spent this past year on the Ravens' practice squad.

Fantasy Analysis:

If Dixon can't make the Eagles 53-man roster, his time in the NFL should be over. He doesn't possess much fantasy value as he won't be starting for Philly unless Michael Vick @MikeVick gets hurt AND Nick Foles gets hurt or had been traded previously. Dixon was looking like a Heisman Trophy favorite with Kelly in 2007 before an ACL tear dashed his hopes. He is with the Eagles because he knows Kelly's offense and should help his teammates become familiar.
