Broncos head coach John Fox on QB Peyton Manning: 'Health-wise, he'll be even better this year'

You could argue that Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning just had the most productive season of his illustrious career. It's argument you may not win, but it is certainly up for debate. He has had years in which he threw for more yards and more touchdowns, but as an overall package, Manning's 2012 was outstanding. He didn't set any personal bests, but he set his second- or third-highest marks in yards, touchdowns, completion percentage and yards per attempt all last season. And he did it all after coming back from a career-threatening neck injury. It's an injury that continues to get better and could make Manning a better quarterback in 2013, according to head coach John Fox.
"It was almost this time a year ago, his type of injury, a lot was made of the neck and the surgeries," Fox said Thursday via the Denver Post. But the reality is it was a nerve situation, and it takes a while for the nerves to grow. He's getting better every day. Health-wise, he'll be even better next year."

Fantasy Analysis:

Will better health directly lead to a better Peyton Manning? He wil be turn 37 next month, and if that question becomes truth, that's freaking scary. It would be awfully risky to pay for 2012's numbers, but Manning, at least in redraft leagues, is an easy top-seven QB entering next season, in my opinion.
