RB Beanie Wells says Cardinals will release him

Beanie Wells took to Twitter on Monday to let everyone know that he has been informed by the Cardinals that they will be releasing him. Wells' time in the desert comes to an end after four seasons that were filled with injuries and disappointment.

Fantasy Analysis:

Wells is just 24 years old, so he will definitely find a home somewhere. This move is not surprising, even though Wells was owed just $1.4 million in base salary next season. New head coach Bruce Arians has been on record as saying he wants a three-down back to lead his ground game. Ryan Williams @lilsweetness34, not Beanie Wells, is a better fit for that role. Wells has 28 receptions in 51 career games.
Wells is one of the most frustrating guys to own in fantasy. He followed his announcement by then tweeting, "The best has yet to come !!!" Well, we sure hope so. It's not like what has come thus far has been outstanding.
Now, Beanie's offensive line last year was atrocious, and he has been banged up since seemingly Day 1 of his pro career. But even when he has been "healthy," Wells has never fulfilled the potential that a man with his talent carries. I think he will be a reserve running back at his next stop and will be favored around the goal line.
