Jaguars release WR Laurent Robinson

The Jaguars released wide receiver Laurent Robinson @LaurentRobinson on Wednesday. The move is not surprising after Robinson suffered four concussions during 2012, leaving his NFL future is heavily in doubt. He turned a breakout season with the Cowboys in 2011 into a five-year contract worth $32 million from Jacksonville, but that partnership last just ten months. The 27-year-old missed nine games last season due to those concussions.

Fantasy Analysis:

The fantasy impact here is minimal. This is more about a person's well-being. Robinson was medically cleared during his post-season physical and has said that he wants to keep playing in the NFL. But four concussions in such a short period of time should give him pause. I hope everything ends up well for Robinson, but I don't think a team is going to touch him given his history. I think his NFL career is effectively over.
